Our client was investigated by the City of Chicago regarding its Minimum Wage and Paid Sick Leave Ordinance. Our client was faced with potential violations in the amount of between $359,000.00 and $593,000.00
Challenges:
Our client was able to produce some, but not all, of the evidence necessary to rebut the City of Chicago’s allegations. This made it challenging to negotiate with the City of Chicago to lower the potential penalties.
Result:
After lengthy negotiations Lavelle Law resolved our client’s matter for a total amount of $36,245.00, saving the client potentially hundreds of thousands of dollars.
