John J. “Jack” Lydon concentrates his practice in commercial litigation. He represents businesses and individuals in litigation in the courts in Illinois and around the nation. He has vast experience in real estate, business, chancery, probate, and collection litigation.
Jack leads the firm’s Election Law practice group which offers a range of election and committee advice and representation, including petition filing, petition challenges, committee campaign reporting requirements, referenda filing, and election challenges.
He represents financial institutions and mortgage lenders in contested mortgage foreclosures. He is also regularly appointed as a special representative for deceased borrowers in mortgage foreclosure cases in all counties in Illinois.
He represents financial institutions and mortgage lenders in operations, class action defense, mortgage repurchase, consumer protection, TILA, RESPA, FCRA, ECOA, Fair Housing, collection, regulatory, and probate matters.
Jack is also a member of the Dealership Practice Group.

Community Involvement
Jack Lydon is the former 47th Ward Democratic Ward Committeeperson in the City of Chicago and is currently a member of the 47th Ward Judicial Recommendations Committee for the 47th Ward Regular Democratic Organization.
Jack lives in Chicago’s North Center neighborhood and is active in a number of community organizations. He is a past vice president, board member, and current member of the Northcenter Chamber of Commerce, a past president and director of the Neighborhood Boys and Girls Club, a member of the North Center Neighbors Association’s Zoning and Land Use Committee, and a former director and former vice-president of the Ravenswood Lake View Historical Association. He is also a member of the Ravenswood Neighbors Association, the Heart of Lincoln Square Neighborhood Association, the Irish Fellowship Club of Chicago, and the Irish American Heritage Center.
