Background:
Lavelle Law represented a dealership client who allegedly violated state advertising laws.
Challenges:
Attorney Sarah Reusché previously negotiated an agreement with the state agency charged with enforcing the advertising laws, and the agency alleged the client violated the prior agreement.
Result:
Ms. Reusché provided a written response on behalf of the client, then met in person with executives at the state agency to defend the client’s purpose and intent with direct mail advertisements. As a result of the meeting, the agency decided to not impose a penalty against the client.
