Success Story – $9 Million Secured Mortgage Loan

Background: 

Lavelle Law represented a commercial bank in its $9 million mortgage loan secured by an office park. 


Challenges: 

The loan was complicated as it was conditioned on the prior closing of a note purchase and deed-in-lieu of foreclosure transaction.


Result: 

The mortgage loan was successfully completed despite its complexities. It required the negotiation of many subordination agreements with tenants, and it also required the prior closing of a note purchase and deed-in-lieu of foreclosure transaction, which raised significant title issues.
