Book Drive

Lavelle Law Charities, long recognized for our annual holiday food drives in Arlington Heights and Palatine, recently hosted our first Palatine Book Drive. Thanks to supporters throughout the community it was a huge success! The thousands of books collected in the drive were immediately donated to the Union League Boys and Girls Clubs of Chicago. The Union League Boys and Girls Clubs of Chicago reach over 13,000 children and have a tremendous need for books of all types to fill their library book shelves. Our Book Drive provided a huge step in fulfilling that need!

The success of our Book Drive would not have been possible without the tremendous support of our neighbors. In addition to the many generous individuals who donated books at our Palatine and Chicago offices, we especially thank Birchwood Recreation Center, Buehler YMCA, and Eurofresh Market, for hosting collection boxes. We are especially grateful to the students and families at Saint Theresa School and Stuart R. Paddock School who collected books for the drive. We also thank the Palatine Public Library, Half Price Books of Palatine, and the Saint Theresa School library who donated books from their own shelves.

Dr. Suess said it best: “UNLESS someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It’s not.” Lavelle Law Charities thanks all who generously donated to our Book Drive. Thanks for caring a whole awful lot!
