New statistics show an increased demand for health care-related jobs. Health care has remained one of the fastest-growing occupational fields in the United States. According to the Bureau of Labor and Statistics, 10 of the 20 fastest-growing occupations are health care-related. Physicians’ offices, home health care, services for the elderly and disable and nursing care facilities are expected to grow by 2 million. As more and more people become insured, the number of medical providers to include those in ancillary areas like physical therapy, reparatory therapy, radiology, as well as in behavioral health and other become more critical.

Although the health industry is in a state of flux, there will be demand for health professionals.
